At New Look, we’re very aware of the impact we make on
the environment and we’re striving to reduce it. So, we’re developing an environmental policy that will do just that.
To date, all our stores have been installed with ‘smart meters’ which allow us to more accurately monitor our energy consumption, helping us to identify where we can make
energy savings. We’re also implementing mixed recycling bins to capture all of our packaging waste and a scheme to transfer all of our packing waste from stores back to the distribution centre – which means we can prevent it from being disposed
at landfill.
It’s a good start, but there’s much more hard work ahead of us.
Ethical trading is all about acting responsibly towards
the people who make our products. And we achieve this
by supporting our suppliers in providing good quality jobs, improving factory conditions and wages. In 2008, we worked with 339 suppliers in 29 countries, using hundreds of factories. As an active member of the Ethical Trading Initiative since 2003, we have a responsibility to each and every one.
We want our customers and our people to feel good about
New Look’s products and how they are sourced. We want
to be a good neighbour to the world.
